The renowned Galerie Asbæk, situated in Bredgade close to Nyhavn, is run by Jacob and Patricia Asbæk. The gallery has been around for more than 30 years, in various locations, but is now housed in the premier inner city gallery area. Galerie Asbæk became an established name in the gallery scene when it started exhibiting works by acclaimed Danish artists such as Wilhelm Freddie, Carl-Henning Pedersen, and Robert Jacobsen. This leading Danish gallery hosts exhibits by Danish and international artists such as Dennis Oppenheim, Peter Bonde, Ursula Reuter Christiansen, Bent Holstein, Peter Bonnén, and Simone Aaberg Kærn.
