Enjoy a breathtaking view of Aalborg and the North Jutland landscape. Take the elevator 55 meters up and enjoy the fantastic view, an incredible panorama. Today, Aalborgtårnet stands as a symbol for the city but it was built as a temporary tower.
Aalborgtårnet was built in 1933 under Nordjysk Udstilling (Exhibition North Jutland). As it was too expensive to tear down, Det Broderlige Skydeselskab bought it for DKK 5.000.
With its placement on Skovbakken, the platform is 105 meters over the Limfjord. From here you enjoy some food or drinks from the bistro.
To get in the Aalborgtårnet, you have to ring the bell which is placed on the food of the tower, and an elevator is sent down. The trip is the North’s highest outdoor elevator and is an experience in itself.
Aalborgtårnet has opened in the summer year – typical from April to October, together with the autumn break. Due to bad weather, the tower can be closed in season.
